The Think Farm worked on a little personal project this holiday season. Jennifer (Helen’s little sister) and Alen already have an adorable 1.5-year-old boy but are expecting another addition to the family! To share the good news, they decided to do a combination Christmas and announcement card this year. Alen came up with the concept, Helen did the styling and photo shoot (trying to get a rugrat to cooperate is a Herculean feat!) and assistant designer Ritzel — who also happens to be a very good family friend — did the design and layout. It was truly a team effort!

Congratulations to the Kim-Zehnaly clan. Happy holidays, indeed!

Part-time assistant graphic designer Ritzel (who has recently taken over our jinny account, among other things) graduated from the Art Institute with honors in graphic design last week. Congratulations, Ritzel! We’re so, so proud!

The Think Farm had its first-ever happy hour to celebrate the holiday season and make merry with clients, colleagues and friends. There were tunes. There were meatballs. There was spiked hot cider. Thanks to everyone who came out!

By the way, one thing I learned is that bathroom graffiti brings out the adolescent in even the most distinguished of guests:

Renovations on the bathroom at The Farm continue at a snail’s pace but we are getting close to the finish line! More on this particular project later, but I just wanted to give you a quick glimpse of what happened today. This, my friends, is Ikea hacking at its finest. Thanks to client and friend Gary Ferguson of caseandgrain!
